Visit the library to check out our newest display at the circulation desk and enter to win a basket of art supplies. The “Fundamentals of Drawing” display is created with the intention to dispel the idea that a person “has to be talented” to draw.
It’s a skill that absolutely anyone can learn if they set their mind to it, and our library clerk Ashley Hankins wanted to make the basics approachable yet comprehensive, so that folks of any skill level can pick up a packet, grab a pencil and paper, and go.
It was also created just to share the joy of artmaking with others. At the end of the display, there will be a raffle drawing for a basket of nice drawing supplies to encourage the student who wins to keep practicing their skills!
